How Low?
I can't believe the books by Ruth Mazo Karras are all borrowed. I'll probably have to buy them, now. Hrm. That aside, I think I broke a rib or two, but at least a vortex when carrying all the books from the library back home. Good thing I'm getting MTs now to resurrect my backmuscles. Snap, there goes the trigger point, heh :9
But who'd have thought knowledge could be this heavy? (Expensive, too. I spent 75€ at amazon just for 4 books. Holy crap. And these are the ones I need ASAP. If I ever win the lottery, I will spent 24h straight at amazon just buying all the books I ever wanted. Btw, Northlanders 3 is coming out end of March. FUCK YES)
And why, why, why did I have to choose scaldic peotry for an exam topic of all things? And two poems to analyse in the difficult, nasty dróttkvætt style at that.... I was not thinking clearly, obv. On the other hand, there is this nagging desire to - one day - create a neat alliterative verse too. THE ONLY REASON I TAKE THIS UPON ME. Deluded? Only a little. Funny, how even the scholars wonder if the Vikings understood their own skalds,...
On a side note: HOW AWESOME IS THE SHERLOCK HOLMES SOUNDTRACK? SUPER AWESOME, IS WHAT *_* Oh Hans Zimmer, you silly boy.
From Wikipedia: For the musical accompaniment, composer Hans Zimmer used a banjo, cimbalom, squeaky violins, and a "broken pub piano". At first Zimmer had his own piano detuned, but found that it sounded out of tune. He asked his assistant to locate a broken piano. The first piano they located was passed over as it obviously had been cared for, but the second one was the one they used in the production. Zimmer said "We rented 20th Century Fox’s underground car park one Sunday and did hideous things to a piano."
Mhrm, but what I wanted to actually post is... a quiz result (Usually I am an ISTP, seems something has changed after all?). Since I have not done such a thing in a while. Indulge me here, will you? Hihi,
miarr compared that to Qui-Gon, that flatters me A LOT ♥♥.
Love the quiet quality to it.
Fuck, I am such an 70s/80s child when it comes to music.
Damn, why had I missed out on Nirvana all my life? What made me disregard them? And Kurt was one fine speciman of a goodlooking bloke, that's for sure. Heard Ewan McGregor is supposed to play him in an upcoming movie about Nirvana. Some rather suggest Joe Anderson, 'm not conviced, tho.
This is me on last.fm, btw. SO FRIEND ME AWAY DAMNIT. xDD

You Are An INTP |
![]() The Thinker You are analytical and logical - and on a quest to learn everything you can. Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge. Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat. A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it. In love, you are an easy person to fall for. But you're not an easy person to stay in love with. Although you are quite flexible, you often come off as aloof or argumentative. At work, you are both a logical and creative thinker. You are great at solving problems. You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.
