How am I supposed to work tomorrow?

Met up with Dani, Christian and Nadia at 9pm to play pool in a billard bar near Weinmeisterstraße. Very enjoyable, though the spirits did a nose dive after a while. We ordered pizza which was kind of OK (had to fend off the bar's dog from our food, devious critter), and after two games we left to have a drink or two at Cafe Cinema. Just got home now.

What I actually wanted to say, is this:
Nadia had bought a pair of shoes quite a while ago from a second hand shop. Lovely, fancy things, white and delicate that do not fit her. So I was to have them to wear and flounce around in them. Gosh, they are beautiful.

Now, I finally seized the chance to wear them and... by the time I reached the bar, I was walking barefoot. Have been the whole night since then - never noticed before how clean Berlin's streets actually are. Hardly any glass shards or other kinds of litter. My feet were black by the time I came home, naturally, but not hurting from anything else but the shoes I had worn earlier. I know now why this gorgeous pair was resold. You cannot possibly wear them without abrasions and blisters on the heels and pressure marks along the toes. Satan must have fashioned them himself, no kidding.

I think we will sell them as well. Someone else be subjected to the pain, for despite all temptations, the ache cannot be possibly endured. Not on the long run, no matter how pretty they are.

A few happier notes: I bought Hitman- Blood Money for PS2 finally. Also started reading Going Postal by Pratchett, god, I love that man. And last but not least - I made fantastic Wok-food today: beef, spring onions, sesame oil, soy sauce, orange + orange juice, honey = YUMYUMYUM. Successful Saturday, Y/Y?

Heldensage! I should have known!

Went to the pub today for the pub quiz. Was awesome. We didn't make it, only the 6th place (out of nine?) but what the hell. I could only contribute with two things: the names of three sexologists (Kinsey, Hirschfeld & Westheimer) and Kitty Genovese. GUESS WHY.
I even drank a glass of beer (Strongbow) and a shot glass filled with ... something... fruity tasting. Nice. Afterwards we scribbled animals with our eyes closed - ah the hilarity.

But that wasn't what I was going to say. I found the DB Kinkmeme.

Ubi sunt qui ante nos in mundo fuere?

Perhaps they were a dynasty or clan competing for power with Offa over the rule of the
Angles though Offa slew two Myrging princes probably the sons of Eadgils not to be
confused with the Swedish king Eadgils this Eadgils was later killed by Ket and Wig
the sons of Freawine a governor of Schleswig who challenged Eadgils to combat
while he was pillaging in the Angle lands, Freawine was killed in combat and the
Myrgings then probably captured Schelswig as they are said to have settled or had
holdings at Schelswig though eventually to be defeated by Offa.

Although the Myrgings only appear in the Old English poem Widsith and not in any other
source there is enough evidence to say that the Myrgings vanished leaving no trace
probably assimilated to the surrounding Angles or were successfully conquered by Offa
who was said to have won a great Kingdom which is most probably that of the conquered
Myrgings if so the Myrgings sense they no longer have a king anymore the only one to
submit to would be Offa.

I can't even point out what's more lulz-worthy. That whole entry is just one big uncredited rumble, tho the "not this Eadgils, but this Eadgils"-part is certainly a candidate. Oh Wikipedia. You never cease to amaze me.

No sleep for the unjust

First things first:

♥♥♥ Awkwarddddd~

So, I read this little essay [livejournal.com profile] miarr had linked in her lj about the top ten misconceptions about Loki. Interesting read! There were some quotes in there, too, among other things about a seeress who told Odin secrets in exchange for money. After every secret she revealed, she asked asked "wit you more, or what?". That was so darn funny and kinda colloquial that I'll make a tag out of it. xD That's too great to pass up.

That aside, I had the sudden craving to draw Loki. But I am not entirely happy yet. :/ Da kann noch so einiges. Aside from the outfit (that I'll do another time when it's not 2am), I wondered about an accurate yet still unique hairstyle. I suck when it comes to hair. Also: Facial hair y/n? DECISIONS. I CANNOT MAKE THEM. Needs more freckles i hvert fall.

Any thoughts? It's not really him, is it? TOO JOCUND D: (haha, pointy ears)

Dragonlance of the Hourglass Mage

Fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck.

Raistlin is such a sap. Carrying the guilt and memories of his brother all around him even tho HE HATES HOW SENTIMENTAL HE IS ABOUT HIM. I swear he thinks about Caramon all the time. His brother is haunting his very thoughts. He's also extremely obsessing over his betrayal when he left his friends to die in the mealstrom like whoa. Not making this shit up. ALSO HIS COUGH IS GONE AND HE IS SORT-OF-HEALTHY AGAIN. I never imagined Raistlin how I am imagine him during this book (look wise and body-movementwise)... my little boy grew up ;_;
And! Aaaaaand he was described as handsome O_O (if his face wasn't so drawn etc etc BUT HE IS HANDSOME YES I KNEW IT. BISHI-RAISTLIN)
Also also: Ppl keep calling him Raist, even tho HE HATES IT xD Only his brother is allowed to, mimimimimimi

And what is that? Oh oh oh? A sort of love interest for him AFTER ALL THESE YEARS? Can it be? At least she doesn't have a stupid name like Crysania. Frrrt. Iolanthe makes him uncomfortable with being all touchy and world-woman-like around him. It's so cute when he blushes and goes all "PLZ NO TOUCHY *flinch/jerk*" I know I am breaking some unspoken law here but man, I HOPE HE WILL LOSE HIS VIRGINITY IN THIS BOOK that would make me go all "ROFLHAHAHA how did that happen?" It'd amuse me as much as his dumb, teenage-boyish dreams about being all mighty and super-cool. Ach, the ambitious youth...

But really, omg. This book... Raistlin is actually NORMAL and sort-of nice as a default mood. What happened to you Raistlinnnnnnn. You know you want your brother to make the TEA FOR YOU AND BE ALL BITCHY AGAIN. You already cried about it on page 87! Evil, scary, ruthless dark robed mage my ass! You fool nobody. And stop making friends with Kenders already, damn it.
